Role Overview
As a Credit Risk Specialist in the FinOps team, you will be Amazon’s second line of defense against financial exposure. The position requires a mix of data-driven risk analysis, portfolio management, and high-judgment decision-making to evaluate customer creditworthiness while actively supporting Amazon’s business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Evaluation: Analyze credit applications by deep-diving into financial statements, credit bureau reference reports, and third-party data to make sound, fast, and fair credit decisions.
- Risk Mitigation: Own and execute the end-to-end Risk Mitigation workflow to safeguard Amazon's accounts receivable (AR) exposure.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track key risk indicators, delinquency patterns, and customer payment behaviors (such as invoices, credits, debit notes, and cash applications).
- Process Automation: Partner with internal technology and product teams to find automation opportunities, turning manual tracking into scalable, automated tools.
- Customer Obsession: Manage professional, credit-related communication with Amazon Business clients, balancing risk management with a great customer experience.
